Over the course of the month of October, our team visited many relief camps in Saikul Subdivision (Saikul HQ relief camp, Songpehjang relief centre, Maojang relief centre etc.) and relief camps in Waikhong (W. Angoubi, W. Naobi), and Ukhul (S.Angam, S. Bmola).We also visited other relief centres where the people had not received any aid or help from any quarters.
We distributed 300 blankets and 100 emergency lamps. The warm blankets were distributed to some who are currently residing in the relief camps and to others who are unable to reach a relief camp, to help keep the cold at bay during the winter, and they were provided with lamps to help them during the frequent power cuts.
We were able to conduct the relief work thanks to the generous contribution and support of the Dentcare Foundation, Kerala, who sponsored the relief work in Manipur. Thanks to their generosity and heartfelt donation, we could reach out and meet the needs of the people of Manipur, who are grappling with the aftermath of the crisis they have faced.
