All things that begins must eventually come to an end, and so the final day of our Free consultation medical camp saw the Navjeevan Medical team in a beautiful place called Pukali, around 40 kilometers away from Semiliguda, Odisha. The crowd of people waiting to consult the doctors kept increasing. The final leg of the camp began at 9:00 AM on Tuesday morning. After a refreshing breakfast, we were ready to face the busy day ahead. About 700 patients turned up at the camp centre on Tuesday morning.
The day went by with consultation of various patients. A lot of the patients didn’t have investigative reports. But with the help of generous scanning centres, we were able to get the diagnostic reports for many. From among the people who turned up, the Navjeevan Medical Team was able to select 54 patients for Free surgery in the upcoming Surgical camp.
By late evening the consultation was done and the medical team met some of the patients from the previous days, with their latest investigative reports. The day had come to an end and the team was ready for their journey back home. At the end of the third day, a total of 160 patients were screened for surgery and many more on the probable list.
Even though the camp has come to an end, it feels like the beginning of something new. There is much to be done in the days ahead. The Navjeevan team hopes to continue making a difference in the lives of the people we meet. We hope our medical services can help many more who are unable to get a proper treatment. We hope to continue creating an impact in our society.
