We were looking forward to what was in store for us on our second day of camp. The sight in front of us was heart-warming and exciting. The cool breeze on the outside seemed to touch our very hearts. There were colourful tents set up, ready for the big day ahead! We had finally arrived at the village of Talchindri, a peaceful and hilly pocket, situated 30 minutes away from Semiliguda, Odisha.

About 600 plus patients had gathered, hoping to meet with the doctors who had come. Navjeevan Medical team met around 20 plus people with thyroid issue. There were many patients with various ailments and the Navjeevan Medical team did its best to render service to everyone. The consultation and check-up went on till 07:00 PM.

At the end of day two, 50 patients were selected for Surgery, including minor, major, paediatric cases etc. Another 26 patients are on the probable list, awaiting investigative reports. Our work is not yet complete.

These camps drive us to the realisation that there are many people who hesitate to get medical treatment for various reasons. As responsible citizens who are keen on the well-being of our fellow beings, Navjeevan Community Development Society would like to venture out to do more such camps that are beneficial to our people in the villages. We will keep striving to help transform lives, one village at a time
