The three-day pre-operative medical camp was held in Malkangiri, a district in the state of Odisha. The villages of Salimi, Ananthapalli, and Chitrakonda were selected as the venue.

Ananthapalli Community (Kallimda Block) is an inland village without any highways, served as the first location. But people from the surrounding villages came as well. More than 200 people registered for the camp. On the first day, 29 patients were picked for surgery. Approximately 500 people showed up for the camp.

The second day was in Salimi Village (Mathili block), around 284 people had registered, and in addition to that, many more arrived at the camp location.  Out of all the people that came, 34 patients were chosen for surgery. There were at least 600 people who turned up on the second day.

The camp on the third day was at Janbai Village (Chitrakonda Block). 304 people registered their names and around 600 people showed up. Of those who arrived, 21 were chosen for surgery.

Food was distributed at all the camp locations. Many people in and around the villages benefited from this camp. It was decided to schedule the four-day surgery camp over the next month.
