9th October 2023 Champa, Chhattisgarh:
The Pre-surgery Screening camp began in the state of Chhattisgarh at the Champa Christian Hospital, on the 9th of October 2023. Under the leadership of Ms. Manjula, the team of doctors and nurses had co-ordinated all the activities at Champa hospital, helping the screening camp to happen seamlessly.The screening camp started by 10:00 AM on the 9 th of October. Over 350 patients had registered for the screening. On day one, patients presented with issue regarding piles, hydrocele, uterus surgery,uterus removal, hernia etc. Some patients travelled over 150 kilometres to reach the screening camp.
On day 1, 61 patients were selected for surgery. Navjeevan team provided meals for more than 400 people on the first day of screening camp.
10th October 2023 Champa, Chhattisgarh
Day 2 of screening went flawlessly due to the co-operation of the doctors and nursing staff of the Champa hospital. The Navjeevan Free Surgery Project team led by Dr. Babitha Kallimel screened over 100 patients on the second day of the camp. About 39 patients were selected for surgery on thesecond day.
A total of 100 patients were selected after two days of screening. On both days the Navjeevan team provided food for the patients who came for the screening. Overall, the screening camp was very effective and the team hopes to perform the surgeries soon.
