In 2016, an opportunity to conduct a medical camp for a day and a half was presented to Dr. Babitha Kallimel, where about 300 people gathered to see and consult her. It became evident that the majority of the people there had surgical issues. At least 70 to 80 ladies who came to see Dr. Babitha had complete uterine prolapse. On further inquiry, it was found that most of them had it for about 10 to 15 years! Hearing this drove Dr. Babitha to do something about it and upon her return to Delhi, she started contacting other like-minded surgeons who could join her in this venture, to bring their medical expertise to the poor and suffering in the villages of India who lacked the facilities and financial ability to undergo surgery.
