Arpita, who came to the medical camp from a remote village in Semiliguda, Orissa, was suffering from severe abdominal pain. The eight-year-old was unable to go to school because she was suffering from persistent jaundice. Arpita received a blood transfusion and her health improved. She
underwent a four-hour-long surgery. Her parents shed tears of joy when they saw that the surgery, which would’ve cost them Rs 2 lakh, was carried out free of cost. Arpita can be a happy little girl again, all thanks to the free medical camp.
